なぜ、お金を払うと馬鹿呼ばわりされるか？それほどまで最近の若者はモラルがないのか？そういう単純な話ではない。

コンテンツのファンであればあるほど、当然ながら、すこしでも品質のいいものが欲しい。根本的な問題は、無料でダウンロードすると品質のいいものが手に入り、お金を払うと品質の悪いものをつかまされるというネットの現状にあるのだ。

違法コピーのほうが便利な例をいくつかあげてみよう。

・　マジコンつかってゲームソフトをダウンロードすると発売日前にゲームが遊べる。

・　有料でダウンロードできる映画や音楽よりも、違法データのほうが画質や音質がいい。

・　ダウンロード販売で購入できる映画やアニメやゲームは過去作品のほんの一部だが、違法コピーならなんでも見つかる。

・　マジコンつかうと、１枚のメモリーカードにいくつものゲームがいれられて、カートリッジを抜き指す必要がない。

・　テレビ放送されているアニメがネットで購入できるようになるまでに放送後１週間かかる。

まあ、こういうあたりまでなら、コンテンツ業界のひともネットの担当者なら認識している範囲である。

もっと根本的な問題は、現状の販売方法だと、コンテンツをネットで購入してもユーザの所有欲を満たすことができないことだ。
